Wax Technicians set up and run automated wax injection presses. The injected parts are then assembled onto the sprue to create the part mold. These jobs require highly detailed inspection of parts as well as manual dexterity. Dip / Dewax Technicians build the ceramic shell around the wax part molds utilizing an automated dipping process. Learn to control and operate robots for automated mold dipping and operate an autoclave for wax removal. These jobs require good inspection skills and an eye for detail. Melt Technicians work in a fast-paced environment learning to work with different metals. Perform a variety of jobs throughout the melt area including: furnace operation, melting steel, pouring steel, preparing ladles, cleaning molds and removing castings from molds. Skills needed are math aptitude, hand eye coordination and ability to learn automated robotic equipment.
Finishing Technicians operate automated sandblast and gate grinding equipment as well as visually inspect parts. Skills needed are good math aptitude, mechanically inclined, hand-eye coordination and to be detail oriented. The Finishing Technician must be able to work in a fast paced environment with emphasis on quality and be committed to excellence.
As a CNC machining technician you will work in our climate controlled, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment where you will run, set up and adjust machines that include: Okuma & Mori-Seiki CNC lathes, Brother and Mori-Seiki Horizontal Machining Centers. You will need to have blueprint reading skills, some set-up experience, knowledge of cutting tools, G-code & M-code programming skills a plus. Experience with micrometers, calipers, bore, height, pin and plug gages a must.
We are looking for candidates who have experience in the manufacture and repair of wax injection molds, jigs, fixtures and custom machined components, construction, maintenance and modification of wax pattern tooling, operational knowledge of all manual tool room equipment required, CNC experience advantageous, but not required, minimum four years’ experience as a Mold Maker, or Tool & Die Journeyman License is not required but highly encouraged.
Candidates must have or be willing to learn all-around technical knowledge of electro-mechanical maintenance activities and must have experienced in electrical (480v-3 phase to control voltage, dc, electrical schematics, servo drives), mechanical (Alignments, gear box rebuilds, belt replacement and tensioning), hydraulic / Pneumatic system repairs (Rebuild pumps/cylinders, piping, running tube and pipe, making hoses), PLC (A/B SLC 500/5000, RS Logics, ladder diagrams, CompacLogix, Device Net), robotic (PM’s, homing, mastering, teach pendant), welding (mig, tig, stick, plasma, cutting torch), fabrication (mill, lathe, ability to read prints), other (sweat copper, run pipe threader), and safety (LO/TO, fall protection, fork lift operation, hot work, arc flash protection).
Candidates must have or be willing to learn all-around technical knowledge of electro-mechanical Strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects. Provide hands-on engineering and operational support to our investment casting operations. Responsibilities include customer contact, part design, rapid prototyping, tooling (fixturing & gauging), dimensional approval, production routings, schedules, cost, and finishing processes. Participate in manufacturing related process improvement projects, investigate and correct quality related issues. This person will have a Mechanical / Industrial Engineering educational background.
